The Winterstone Murder
Publisher Description
This book was originally published under the title Ceremony in August 2021.
Dr. Kep Woodhead is a brilliant, irascible forensic toxicologist with a dark past and a nost for trouble.
Bernadette Becker is a disgraced federal investigator with one last chance.
They're both assigned to a strange poisoning case: a graduate student has been found dead in a 15th-century chapel, overdosed on a controversial hallucinogen.
The list of suspects is long: the priest, the professor, the piscary president, the protestor, the protégé, and at least one wants to silence Becker.
Do Becker and Woodhead have a prayer of discovering the truth before the killer strikes again?
"...an intelligently wrought, involving and accomplished thriller. Highly recommended."

Winterstone Murderer
I enjoyed the story but too many characters.
Campus murder mystery
Milwaukee location medical research facility set to make Billions from an obscure cancer med is targeted by a firm who wants to stop them with murdering key figures. The characters are interesting.
Schnozz!
Shortly into reading the book, we discover a character who resolves mysteries and murder using his sense of scent. This seems peculiar, and I’m not sure I will enjoy reading this book. Although luckily, once I start a book, 99.9% of the time I finish it. Am I ever glad I did! Great mystery; thoughtfully developed characters; just enough different to be intriguing; did not want to set down book to go to sleep! I’ve read a few other books from this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. On to book two in this series!
